I love Lane Bryant. The new ‘Icon collection” is fabulous. Their fashions have definitely brought the plus size woman into the fore front of fashion.

I like the jackets but I wonder is it normal for cold season jackets to be shorter or is it just the style for this season?

Glen, The days of long sleeves in the winter and short sleeves in the summer are long gone! Short jackets over long sleeve turtlenecks and blouses are now the proper way to stretch your wardrobe!

I love little jackets. I’m always reaching for a layering piece this time of year. I noticed one of LB new price points seems to be $79.50. The designs seem to be improving as the year has progressed — most of last year was disappointing.

“Short jackets over long sleeve turtlenecks and blouses are now the proper way to stretch your wardrobe!” How exactly is this combination supposed to stretch your wardrobe? I think I am having a blonde moment mixed in with the grey of my locs.

Ok Glenn, When I said that you can stretch the wardrobe I mean this. Shorter jackets that are worn in the summer, can be worn in the fall/winter as a layering piece, hence the long sleeve shirts and turtlenecks. Clothes no longer have a “season” that they can only be worn. Good example, wool! Tropical wool now replaces the heavy wool that could only be worn in the winter. It is very light- weight! So yes times have changed! Creating a style means dressing, outside the box! Much love!

I have many short sleeves and I must say there are helpful for the winter because you are not in a coat all day, so that can be very helpful!!! Nice post!!!
